Let's be book besties!

What are you reading? I haven't been very active What are you reading?

I haven't been very active the last couple of weeks, so I thought I'd share some if my current reads.

I'm not usually one to read more than one story at a time, but I am currently in the middle of three books.

The Sword of Kaigen by ML Wang. This is my first ML Wang book and I am flying through it. I've been recommended this author many times and I am really excited to read more.

Carl's Doomsday Scenario (the second book in the series) is my go to when I'm just needing something a little more lighthearted. This series is so funny.

A Curse of Shadows and Thorns by LJ Andrews is a reread for me and is about to be the first audiobook I ever finish. LJ is currently doing a read along in anticipation of her next release in The Ever Seas. I'm desperately behind, but am loving the reread and so excited for The Stolen Crown.

"New Achievement! ... The ghost of Steve Irwin smi "New Achievement! ... The ghost of Steve Irwin smiles down upon you."

"Goddammit Donut," that book was hilarious.

I honestly went into Dungeon Crawler Carl not really understanding what it was or expecting to like it. But I could not put it down.

Princess Donut was one of the funniest characters ever. She's everything I think I cat would be if they were in her situation.

I couldn't get enough of the System's AI and its sarcastic remarks.

I definitely am excited to read more of the series.
It's coming up on my 1 year Bookstaversary. And It's coming up on my 1 year Bookstaversary.

And I just wanted to say thank you.

Thank you for introducing me to some of my favorite books.

And obviously thank you for giving me a TBR that I will never be able to finish.

QOTD: What's the best book you read because of bookstagram?

I'm pretty sure it's not a surprise at this point that mine is Red Rising. 🖤🐺
And just like that, I've reached the end of my Red And just like that, I've reached the end of my Red Rising journey.

Thank you for all of the emotional support throughout this journey fellow howlers.

This was probably one of my favorite books in the series. Nothing will ever beat Morning Star, but this is definitely a close second.

The amount of character growth in this book and the individual journeys the characters go through is spectacular.

But don't let the title fool you- no light was brought in this book.

I thought after Dark Age Pierce Brown couldn't hurt me anymore, but he found a way.

Pictured is me after reading a very specific part in which he did so.

This series has been an adventure and easily became one of my favorites. I'm going to resist the urge to reread until there is closure.

Anyway, here's one of my favorite quotes from the book. I'm going to go process my emotions now.

"I love you with all my heart. But you represent a past that fears the future. I will not accept that."
💜The Five Book Challenge💜 I was challenged me by 💜The Five Book Challenge💜

I was challenged me by my friend @bookedbffs to do the Five Book Challenge.

I tried my best to only do books I have a physical copy of for this one, but I only have two physical books that I haven't read yet and they are not high on my TBR at the moment 😅.

A book I think is underrated (or I think deserves mire hype): Child of Shivay by JR Cathers

A series I always recommend: The War if Lost Hearts Trilogy by Carissa Broadbent

A book that's worth the hype: Kingdoms of Ash by Sarah J Maas

The newest edition to my collection (also my favorite book that I own): Red Rising by Pierce Brown

A book I'm super excited to read: The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne

QOTD: What is your favorite book that you own?
Currently Reading 🪐🌌 I don't know why I do this, Currently Reading 🪐🌌

I don't know why I do this, but whenever I love a series wholeheartedly I read the last book as slowly as humanly possible.

I've been reading Light Bringer by Pierce Brown for about 2 weeks now and am a little over halfway through.

It has hurt me, but is definitely an easier read so far than Dark Age was.

I'm not ready for this journey to end, but the people in my life probably are so they don't have to listen to me talk about Red Rising as much anymore.

And I have officially acquired some headphones! That's right! I finally enjoy listening to my stories while I do my chores.

QOTD: Do you rush through the last book of a beloved series or do you savor it because don't want it to end?

How to choose a book to read as a mood reader. I How to choose a book to read as a mood reader.

I always like to have something to read at any given time, but choosing is so hard sometimes.

I'm always amazed by how many of you can make a TBR for the month and stick to it.

This seems impossible to me. I don't care how good a book is. If I'm not in the mood for it, I'm not going to like it.

Some red books you should definitely read. Just Some red books you should definitely read.

Just in case you can't tell, that book is Red Rising.

Who would I be now if I didn't recommend Red Rising to you constantly?

You can blame @bookishly.ellie, she made me read it 🖤
