Free Flower Bookmark Crochet Pattern
Materials
Size H or 5.0 mm crochet hook
Medium worsted weight yarn in three colors
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations
MR- Magic ring
Ch- Chain
Inc- Single crochet increas
Sl st- Slip stitch
Sc- Single crochet
Hdc- Half double Crochet
Dc- Double Crochet
Tc- Triple crochet
F/O – Fasten off
Flower
***Starting in desired color for center of flower
Round 1- Sc 6 in MR (6)
Round 2- Inc around, sl st into first sc of next round(12)
***Switch to desired flower petal color
Round 3- Ch 3, continue working in the same stitch (dc, tc, 2 dc, sc)
*** for the first petal the ch will count as your first dc.
skip next stitch, (2dc, tc, 2dc, sc)* repeat around. You should have 6 petals at the end.
When finished sl st into the original sl st.
F/O leaving a tail to weave in the end.
Leaves and Stem (green)
Row 1- Ch 7
Row 2- Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st, ch 7
Row 3- Sc in 2nd ch from hook, hdc, dc, hdc, sc, sl st 2
Ch 45 (or desired length of bookmark. You can make the bookmark longer or shorter by adding or removing chains).
Attach stem to the wrong side (back) of flower. I single crocheted into the back of the flower, but you can fasten off and sew it to the flower if you prefer.
