Free Easter Egg Crochet Pattern

This is a great easy pattern for beginners. It uses only single crochet, increase, and decrease. The pattern works up in less than 20 minutes. Perfect for adding to your last minute Easter projects! I used variegated and single color yarn for mine, but you can easily add stripes by switching colors between rounds.
Materials
Size H or 5.0 mm crochet hook
Medium worsted weight yarn in any color
Polyfil
Tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Abbreviations
MR- Magic Ring
Sc- Single crochet
Inc- Increase
Dec- Decrease
F/O – Fasten off
** Note
This pattern is worked in the round. Be sure to use a stitch marker to avoid losing count.
To avoid gaps in egg try using an invisible decrease instead of a regular sc decrease. To do this go through the front loop of the stitches only when decreasing. This will give your project a more finished look.
Finished project is 3 in from top to bottom. Can be made larger or smaller by changing yarn type and hook size.
