Let's be book besties!

My Bookish Awards of the year so far. I have rea My Bookish Awards of the year so far.

I have read so many books I have absolutely loved this year.

Hopefully, I can read a few more by the end of the year.

Here are some of my favorites and a disappointment.

What is the best book you've read this year?

(It's not ai by the way. I made this basic background with my own two not so talented hands with a picture of my bookshelf and a paper graphic from canva.)
Reading update. I've been living in the 19th cen Reading update.

I've been living in the 19th century for the last month and I've been having so much fun there.

The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion changed trajectory of my reading.

I had so much fun buddy reading Jane Eyre with @erins_readingspace and @faeheavenstudio.

I think after Wuthering Heights it's finally time to move on.

I have no clue what to read after.
What should I read?
I'm open to suggestions.
Books I'm intimidated by in my TBR (part 2). The Books I'm intimidated by in my TBR (part 2).

There are so mamy books on my TBR that I haven't started only because I find the idea of starting them intimidating.

Maybe you can convince me to finally start some of them?

What is a book on your TBR you are intimidated by?
My favorite audiobooks! Full disclosure- DCC is My favorite audiobooks!

Full disclosure- DCC is the only one I listened to completely. The narrator is absolutely incredible.

The rest I used as a supplement, so I could keep reading books I was loving when I had other things that needed to be done.

If we've been friends for a while, you might know I struggled with audiobooks for a long time.

I have the hardest time paying attention when someone is reading to me. So, being able to enjoy audiobooks is something I never expected to happen.

QOTD: What is a book you think is better in audio? (Mine is dungeon crawler carl) .
The chokehold The Unselected Journals of Emma M Li The chokehold The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion by Beth Brower has on me is unreal.

It has changed the trajectory of my reading.

And honestly, I think after reading the classics, I'm going to have to do a reread.

It is one of my absolute favorite series.
Children's Chapter Books, mostly fantasy because I Children's Chapter Books, mostly fantasy because I've been a mostly fantasy reader my entire life.

Full disclosure- I haven't actually read Percy Jackson yet, but we're going to read it soon and I'm pretty sure we're going to love it.

QOTD: What was your favorite book growing up? What books are you excited to read with your children?
The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion by Beth Bro The Unselected Journals of Emma M Lion by Beth Brower is my newest obsession.

I devoured all 8 volumes and desperately need more.

I love the characters wholeheartedly.

I didn't know what to do with myself, so I'm reading Pride and Prejudice and am finding so many parallels.

I can't wait to see what I find in Jane Eyre.

What was the latest book that became your entire personality?

Books you couldn't pay me to..... Shut up about. Books you couldn't pay me to.....

Shut up about.
Put Down.
Recover from.
Stop recommending.

This trend was surprisingly difficult.

Drop your favorite book recommendations. My TBR could always use some more books.
