I'm feeling defensive of Fourth Wing by Rebecca Ya I'm feeling defensive of Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros today. What exactly makes a book "smut"? I don't see the difference between spicy scenes in books and spicy scenes in television. Why have I never heard the term applied to books written by men? Why should the inclusion of spicy content dismiss the important themes found throughout the books?
Why is everyone so stressed out about a book relea Why is everyone so stressed out about a book release? Reading is supposed to be fun. You have as much time as you want to read this. It's not food, it's not going to go bad. You don't need the new hardback set. You don't have a deadline. I don't care what anyone says- you don't have to read Crescent City. If you don't feel like rereading at all- there are tons of recaps online. And if you read Threshing Day and decided you'd rather stay in Basgiath than revisit Prythian? That's fine too!

What are you reading? I'm currently reading The What are you reading? I'm currently reading The Wolves of War by John Gwynne. This is my first John Gwynne book and I am loving it. I love the writing and cannot wait to read his other series. I had no idea going in that it was a historical fantasy, so I've been stopping to do some research while reading and learn a little more about the lore. I still have a lot of book to finish, but the highlight of the book for me so far is the characters. One of whom feels so real and personal I had to do more research only to find out the charcter was indeed very personal. I haven't had a ton of time to read the last few weeks. The weather has been so beautiful and I find it very hard to concentrate on my books at the moment. But I am finally making some progress on The Gate of the Feral Gods by Matt Dinniman. It is a great time, as expected. What is a book that left you staring at the wall or crying uncontrollably? I put the entire Emma M Lion series on here because I don't think you should go in knowing which ones hurt.
