Fire and Blood is the prequel book to A Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) and is the inspiration for the HBO series House of the Dragon. It is written as a history book by third person accounts hundreds of years after the events. Because of this the events (particularly the war of dragons) have conflicting information. Fire and Blood follows the Targaryen’s from their start on Dragonstone. Unfortunately, like A Song of Ice and Fire, it is an incomplete series.
