8 Awesome Books About Pirates
It’s International Talk Like a Pirate Day and what better way to celebrate than with books about pirates?

What is International Talk Like a Pirate Day?
If you are like me, you’ve probably never heard of this day before. Pirates of the Caribbean was my all-time favorite movie growing up and I am so excited to hear about Talk Like a Pirate day. Is it a big holiday? Absolutely not, but it’s probably a lot of fun. How can you celebrate? However you would like! You can talk like a pirate all day- which would probably be very amusing and also start to annoy your loved ones. You can dress like a pirate or attend a pirate event in places that have them. I live in the desert and have heard of no such events, but I’m sure lots of places have them. And of course, you could have a pirate movie marathon or read a new book about pirates.
Here are eight books to help you get into the pirate spirit!

To do so Fable enlists the help of a young trader named West to get her off the island and across the Narrows to her father.
But her fatherâs rivalries and the dangers of his trading enterprise have only multiplied since she last saw him and Fable soon finds that West isn’t who he seems. Together, they will have to survive more than the treacherous storms that haunt the Narrows if they’re going to stay alive.

But when sheâs tracked down by the obscenely wealthy mother of a former crewman, sheâs offered a job no bandit could refuse: retrieve her comradeâs kidnapped daughter for a kingly sum. The chance to have one last adventure with her crew, do right by an old friend, and win a fortune that will secure her familyâs future forever? It seems like such an obvious choice that it must be Godâs will.
Yet the deeper Amina dives, the more it becomes alarmingly clear thereâs more to this job, and the girlâs disappearance, than she was led to believe. For thereâs always risk in wanting to become a legend, to seize one last chance at glory, to savor just a bit more powerâŚand the price might be your very soul.
